Juan José Flores was born on July 19, 1800 in Venezuela (Virtualology.com). He was forced to become a Spanish American Solider which helped him out in his rise of power (Virtualology.com). His first promotion was in 1822 when he became a colonel, and then again in 1825 when he was appointed commanding general (Virutalology.com). In 1826 he as made a brigadier general and the year to come he fought Insurgents of Lima (Virtualology.com).
He became commander and chief in 1828 and then the first president of Ecuador in 1930 and his term ended in 1834(Virtualology.com). He was later elected president again in 1939 to 1843 and reelected for another term which he was thrown out of office on march 6 1845 (Virtualology.com). he died out at sea on October 1, 1864.
